Review Of The Kitchenaid Food Processor
The Kitchenaid Food Processor is undoubtedly a good-looking appliance, but does it really perform? Well, a look at what it has to offer and what buyers have had to say about it confirms that it is held ion high regard. The reviews are overwhelmingly positive.
What then do you get for the money?
To start with , a very powerful motor. It's rated at 650W, so can tackle the toughest ingredients with ease. It's direct drive technology means that it will adjust its speed to match the demands placed on it. Some users have questioned why it has no manual speed control. But it's not needed as the motor will look after this itself. There’s a pulse button of course.
So many reviewers and users have reported how quiet the processor is in operation.
It’s also very solidly built, in die-cast metal. This results in a weight of 13.2 kg – so it’s going to need a permanent place on the worktop really. The advantage of course is durability and smoothness of operation.
A major feature of the Kitchenaid Artisan Food Processor is the flexibility resulting from the huge range of bowls and attachments supplied.
The processor comes with a set of three bowls. Firstly a large 2.8 litre Working Bowl for use with the various blades and beaters. Secondly a 2.4 litre Chefs Bowl. This fits inside the working bowl and keeps it clean. It is used with the slicing and shredding discs. There's also a mini bowl and blade for small jobs.
A cleverly-designed twin tube and food pusher enable you to put quite large pieces into the processor without prior chopping.
The stainless-steel multipurpose blade is razor sharp. Also supplied is a dough blade for breadmaking, an egg-beater and a citrus press. A thoughtful addition is a slimline accessory box to keep all the bits and pieces together. All accessories and bowls will go into the dishwasher.
Have there been any negative comments? Well one or two have complained that fine dry ingredients such as flour tend to escape past the cover during processing, but that it’s not a great problem. I suspect the same happens with other makes – no cover is that well fitting. Others have reported problems with liquids such as soup leaking past the blade. However no processor is designed to handle large volumes of liquid and in any case there's a level indicator on the bowl.
The motor is guaranteed for 10 years and all other parts for 3. The manufacturers have great confidence in their product.
The Kitchenaid Food Processor is not cheap - you can buy less expensive processors - but then it has a lot going for it. It’s sturdy, powerful and comes with all the accessories you need. And it comes in all of Kitchenaid's fantastic colours. It would be a great choice.

Frequently Asked Questions...
Is the Cuisinart 7 qt. mixer a good quality mixer?
I'm looking to buy a new mixer. I've been using my Mother's standard 4 qt. Kitchenaid mixer for about 5 yrs, it's 25 years old and still going strong, but I need a bigger mixing bowl.
As I was doing my pricing research on the Kitchenaid 6 qt. bowl lift model, I found that Cuisinart has a 7 qt. bowl, which excited me. Does anyone own one and are they worth the money.
Your reviews will be very helpful!!!
Answer:
It is not the best, but it works good for me.
